He failed a trick, the board ran into a wall and the laminate just burst from the crash. I heard you could protect your longboard with a length of garden hose. Couldn’t find a tutorial on this so I thought I might as well make one. The board is a Gravity Kalai (roughly Dervish style, but with much tighter flex. Fine board). It’s a drop-through board, but I applied the same protection to my top-mounted board, it’s just a bit more complicated since you need to cut away the edges of your riser/shock pad and mount the cable ties sideways (if anyone wants a tutorial on that, I can make one). The video is edited in order to avoid boredom, in real time this took me 20 minutes (for both ends of the board). So far, the piece of hose works fine as a protection and is very sturdy. So this is a cheap, easy and quick way to protect your precious board. This is my first tutorial video, so here’s a DISCLAIMER: 1. This may not be the only method, but it works fine for me. If you know anything better, feel free to make your own tutorial. 2. I hereby declare that I am completely uncool. Mounting a garden hose to your longboard is nerdy and nobody should EVER do it.
