Ryan Rubin: The Push (Longboard Living)

From the Longboard Living Youtube

Okay, so I thought there’s never been a rap track about longboarding and boy was I wrong. This song has a ton of rhythm and it fits the video perfect. It’s a little dark feeling, but it gets the point. Feeling. Longboard Living is a Longboard Blog / Manufacturer that I just stumbled on. Check out their boards, there is a zombie apocalypse one that is REALLY dope. Definitely worth it. Check out their website, learn up some Canada Longboarding and keep pushin yall!!!

The mastermind behind the Longboard Living Movement, Ryan Rubin, shows us the art of THE PUSH. He doesn’t slide, he doesn’t dance, he pushes day in and day out..

This is toronto push culture. Orginal soundtrack by two SSS riders The eternal Feedback feat: BLOCKA…. ghetto ass closet productions.

I can’t wait to go to Boston..

Original team rider Brian Bishop 360 flips longboarding off the sidewalks into the air and onto the streets of Boston, Mass on his Apex 37. Go Longboard and celebrate the up-coming release of the new Apex 37 with Original.

Longboarding: Propeller.

Video from Loaded Longboards on YouTube

I bet you want to see cool tricks on a longboard. I bet your looking for dope music to longboard to. Wanna start spinning? Doin your tiger claw? Get some bounce on your board? Hell yes you do. That’s what longboardings all about. You start off, you have fun and then you just want to start doing it more and more. Pretty soon, you’re selling your house for 10 new longboards that you cant even ride, unless you stack them together and do it like a London bus. I don’t have a Loaded Longboard but I sure as sugar (lol, trying to keep the language kid appropriate) want to get one ASAP. It’s fall over here in Michigan, which to me, means MORE longboarding. Everything looks so beautiful and I want to hit the slopes (for freeee, because its a Longboard remember! :) )

Live vicariously through his sick boarding spots, or get out there and bomb some hills and master your skate tricks.

Go to 1:24 in the video. That trick is so sick. That is all

“Excerpt from the more info page:

by Adam Stokowski

I recently had the opportunity to go to California and hang out with everyone at the Loaded office and some other fun people. Big thanks to Don and everyone at Loaded; it was a super awesome time. While I was there, Adam C. filmed a little video of me ridding the Tan Tien called Propeller; thanks again to Don for the name. We pretty much just skated around the Venice Beach area looking for things to mess around with and tried to avoid backpack-eating dragons who eventually caught up to us. It’s just a fun little video playing with the surroundings. Adam C. did an amazing job with the filming, lots of depth of field and some smooth camera movements. Big thanks to Adam C. for filming, editing, and letting a smelly Virginian sleep on his floor with a sweatshirt stuffed in a bag for a pillow. I got to go make sure my potatoes aren’t boiling over. Catch y’all next time.

FREE HELMETS 4 Longboarders

The Ian Tilman Foundation (http://www.theiantilmannfoundation.org) provides free helmets to longboarders IF they promise to wear them. Ian Tilman was in the military and also longboarded, but never wore a helmet. His family and friends are making a GREAT effort to get people to wear helmets when they longboard and I think that this is one of the most noble acts of kindness and caring that you can offer. Here’s a little bio about Ian from the website. I ALWAYS wear a helmet now. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor, and get this free longboarding helmet. Please.

“On the evening of May 16, 2005, Ian and several friends were skateboarding down Hercules Ave. in Clearwater, FL on a hill known locally as Cemetery Hill. As he was making his last run down the hill that evening his skateboard suddenly stopped and he was thrown headfirst onto the pavement. Ian was NOT wearing a safety helmet and as a result he suffered severe traumatic brain injuries. Ian never regained consciousness and died 10 days later on May 26, 2005. Our beloved son was 28 years old. When people hear Ian’s story many ask with shock and disbelief “he died from falling off a skateboard”? We truly believe our son’s death could have been prevented by simply choosing to wear a helmet.”

Goofboarding. Practice your balance like a G

Tryna nail that new trick down? Maybe you just suck and fall a lot? Well heres yo thang! It helps you get your balance. It’s just a flat boad and a rolliestick (or a cylinder if you want to be all super serious hah) and you can practice your cross stepping in a safe manor. It’s designed for surfers, but we’re concrete surfers around these parts, so check it out!

http://www.goofboard.com

The GoofBoard was designed for surfers, but great for all board sports. It’s all about riding rail-to-rail, a motion truer to the surfing and board riding experience. Way too much fun, but as challenging as you want to take it. Great for cross stepping, nose riding, and all longboard moves plus SUP surfers find the Goof Board quite inspiring. Short board surfers and skaterboarders will appreciate the unique challenge. We are told that kiteboarding and windsurfing enthusiasts will benefit from the footwork challenge. Excellent for leg and core strengthening while having fun in the process and increasing style. Goof Boarding is different fron the rest.
