Koastal Boards Pin Tail Longboard Review

Lets get to the heart of the post and getting into the best longboards in my opinion. This review will talk about the boards I ride and others that my friend’s have. For the first post we have Koastal Boards Pin Tail Longboard
I have this board thanks to the guys at Koastal Boards. The Koastal Boards Pin Tail Longboard has trucks that just pop when you want to carve hard. I love cruising on flat ground while carving on this pin tail. Even though it’s great on flatland this board can bomb a hill and that’s exactly what I want in a board, flexibility. It’s priced very moderately for how well it really preforms. I highly suggest grabbing this pin tail longboard while you can.

Trick Tips: Learn to do The Shenanigan

So not many people know about our Youtube, http://Youtube.com/LongboardNOW. Right now we don’t have many videos, we’ll add those but we do have a lot of favorite longboarding videos worth checking out and also our subscriptions probably interest you longboarders out there.
This is the trick tip for the shenanigan. It’s one of those smooth looking moves where you get off the board and it ends in a ghost kickflip with a 180 jump back onto the board. This move looks very slick and as long as you can catch your balance and land on the board, it’s a great one to add to your arsenal. I recommend mastering your ghost kickflip first though as you have to be pretty comfortable about jumping back on the board especially when your doing a backside 180 onto it. He’s riding a nice Gravity longboard that one of my friends has and has REDs bearings which are what I have on my old board. As always WEAR A HELMET!

Matt Rosen of LoadedNewsletter on Youtube emailed me this video of him and Jesse Gonzalez rippin up a longboard, doing some tricks, and showing off their amazing boards. They show their falling too which I love haha. The music is by Gypsy Kings and the song is called Djobi, Djoba. Jesse is riding a Dervish Flex 1 Longboard with Paris Trucks and the wheels are Orangatang InHeat (80a). I just got my awesome pintail longboard from KoastalBoards a couple of weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier. My old board was a long Creation hill bomber but I’ve fallen for this shorter, harder carving, pintail and I thought I’d showcase some of those creative videos demonstrating the amazing feeling from a pintail longboard.

The design is sick, the quality of Gravity boards are always consistent and these are wheels that your gonna love. Sometimes when you buy a longboard you should get better wheels, not with this puppy this board is great for any type of longboarding. I prefer the 66m, Ice White wheels. Any of the trucks are good, but big trucks are kinda fun. It’s big so you can cross step and bomb hills but has the design my first board has so you can get a little freaky with your tricks or just cruise and tackle large distances.

Bombing Old Willy Hill on a Longboard

An excellent example of a longboarding video. They bomb this huge smooth hill and have an awesome camera angle. It looks to me as if theyre using a Loaded Dervish Longboard. Definitely recommend getting one, they ride low, fast, and stable.
